Are the 6.0s really that bad???

All I hear about is how junk the 6.0s are , has anyone who owned one since new in here and can confirm or deny if they are actually junk???

I know nothing is more reliable as the 7.3 tho

How come more car manufacturers don’t let their buyers do a program like Volvo offers???

https://www.volvocars.com/us/l/osd-tourist/

This comes directly from Volvos website, they let you custom order a vehicle and allow you to drive it right off the assembly line in Sweden

How Factory Pickup Works
Custom Order: Design your vehicle at a local retailer and place the initial order.

Trip to Sweden: Volvo provides two tickets for flights to Gothenburg, airport transfers, and hotel lodging.

Factory Experience: Enjoy a guided tour of the assembly plant, a traditional lunch, and a VIP handover of your vehicle.

Driving in Europe: Drive your new car using temporary European registration and insurance for up to two weeks.

Shipping Home: Drop off the car at an authorized European location, and Volvo ships it to your local U.S. dealership at no extra charge.

It would be so cool if ford allowed you to do this , tour of the rouge complex and the Michigan proving grounds

Noticed this transport truck coming off the interstate with 2 broncos and a ford super duty heading towards the local ford dealership.

His and Hers

My new maverick XLT Hybrid and my GFs new Bronco sport heritage.

I wasn’t the biggest fan of the Bronco sport when it came out but its a great little SUV, very comfortable just wish it came in a hybrid

How does it work when you ship a car from an auto plant to a dealership?

I special ordered a 2026 Mustang GT was assembled and built at the flat rock assembly plant in Michigan.

The car was built on July 1st and was released from the plant sometime between July 1st and now, my sales person just texted me saying that at this point it is just waiting on a truck to come and pick it up.

It’s now mid August and my car still has not been shipped to my dealership in KY but I talked to several people they had their Mustangs built the same week as mine, and it was shipped and delivered to them within two weeks while mine has been sitting waiting on a truck since the 1st July.

So I was just wondering how that works with picking up vehicles from a plant and why it sometimes takes so long to pick up vehicles and deliver them when some are picked up very quickly.

What vehicle was the hardest to keep on the lot when it came out?

I’m sure this is subjective to the brand but the local ford dealer said whenever the ford maverick came out they couldn’t keep them for the first 2 years.

Why do car dealerships make buying a car so stressful and frustrating

From the salespeople to the managers I’ve never understood why a lot of dealers will waist so much time going back and fourth trying to squeeze every $$$ out of a regular working class individual who needs a car.

I’ve bought 4 cars in my life and I’ve gotten lucky overall but I’ve been to some dealerships that are an absolute nightmare.

For example I went to a dealership and I had asked about a vehicle I was interested in and said that I wasn’t buying today I just wanted to see what options were out there and his first response was “ if the price was right would you buy today? “ he also said “ we are very understaffed today “ while 4 other car salesmen were standing the showroom sitting on their ass.

Proceeded to show me a new car that had been sitting on the lot of 2 years and when I asked him why it was sitting for so long he said “ because it’s a expensive and nobody wants a $1000 car payment “ and when I walked away he got visibly angry.

Then I called another dealership to get the price of a vehicle and “ shocker “ $1800 in junk fees on top of the price of the vehicle, they had the car discounted $2600 then took most of it away with the garbage fees.

I said I wasn’t paying for paperwork fees and service fees because that’s the cost of doing business, the salesperson wasn’t too bad but the sales manager was horrible , was very defensive when I questioned him and everything on the paperwork, offered to give me $500 more for my trade and I said “ either take the fees off or I’m walking away “ he came back with $200 total off of the fees.

So I walked out and the salesmen and manager chased me out the door and I turned around and said “ I’m not interested , go make your commission off somebody else “

For the next 2 days they continued to blow up my phone , phone calls , text messages the whole 9 yards, I finally said to hell with it once another manager texted me so in response I sent him a picture of my brand new truck and said “ you had your chance, I have what I want and got it for what I want “

Shortly after my purchase I found delivrd on TikTok and I gotta say tomi does a great job at his job , he’s experienced, smart and knows all the games dealers play and uses it against them, wish I used him first but I definitely will next time.

His service shouldn’t have to exist though, it’s a real shame car dealerships can’t be honest and decent people , I know you have to make money I get that but if I’m spending more then an hour or so at the dealership that’s unacceptable, either make me a deal or I leave.

Really makes no sense because practices like that just make you loose customers

The other dealer I went to was much much better but I still found my sell getting annoyed at the finance manager when I made it very clear I only wanted a maintenance plan and nothing else , he kept pushing the extended warranty after I told him I wasn’t interested, almost walked out there but eventually he gave in and I got what I wanted.

Hard Roll up or Soft Roll up tonneau cover?

Not sure if I should get a soft folding or a hard folding tonneau cover , obviously want one that won’t leak but I don’t feel like I need a super expensive one.

My salesman recommended rough country because fords are overpriced and not even a real ford product as they get them from a different company and put ford on it.

As long as the waterproofing and quality is good idc what one it really is , what do yall recommend???

I’m now a proud owner of a “ fake “ truck

People are way to quick to judge this little truck, it’s way more roomy and comfortable then my bronco , my back no longer hurts and I now get 40 MPG (hybrid) compared to 20MPG.

I enjoyed my bronco but it ultimately didn’t fit my lifestyle, I know there will be comments saying “ sissy truck “ “ not a real truck “ well let me tell you if you don’t need to tow anything this truck will do everything you ask of it.

I love this thing
