I’m 23M and My company will pay for trade school but I’ve never been good at math and in high school and college ( dropped out after a year and a half of constantly changing my major) I definitely was able to cheat my way around everything because when I was younger it was to hard for me to want to learn.
I’m now older and willing to learn so I want to know what would be the best way to learn the math side of HVAC??? I looked at some of the formulas and they all looked so confusing to me lol.
Am I screwed if I can’t figure out math??? I really wanna make this work I just don’t know how to start with learning it
I’m 23M and I work for a theme park company in Florida and today found out they have apprenticeships for 3 trades.
Electrical, mechanical and HVAC.
I’d only have to buy a book that’s cost $100 and everything else schooling wise is paid for and once you graduate you can take test to go into more specialized areas is what I was told.
So out of the 3 listed what would be the best route to go?
I’m 23 years old , work 40 hours a week making $19 an hour ( $20 an hour in October when we get a raise ) and I love cars and am really interested in working on cars but I worry I’m too late in my life to go to a trade school.
My company has a vehicle maintenance shop that takes care of all the company vehicles and I’d love that since I’m not working for actual customers but I’m not exactly sure how to get started that way
My current job I get really good benefits ( health insurance, dental , vision , pet insurance and etc) so I wanna make sure it’s the right choice before I make some of the sacrifices I will have to make.
What advice do yall have???
I’m 23 and i don’t have any experience in car sales but in the next year or so I wanna try getting into it , can yall tell me the good, bad and ugly???
I know how much money you make all depends on how many cars you sell so I understand that but will it hurt my chances of landing a sales job not having any experience???
I also don’t wanna be the stereotypical salesmen who’s greedy and money hungry , I genuinely wanna help people find what they want
My girlfriend wants a Bronco sport , I keep trying to steer here away from it because of how unreliable the 1.5 3 cylinder is.
I told her if she wants one to try and save up a bit more and get a badlands that has the 2.0 engine because it’s much more reliable and has been around a long time
She keeps saying she doesn’t want that high of a trim level and even told me “ then why do they keep selling the car if it’s not good??? “
How do I explain it to her??? I don’t want her spending the money on a car just for the engine to go out at 50k miles
Im a ford guy till death but even I know the 3 cylinder engines are trash
When I was 19 I had a 2022 Honda Accord Sport 2.0T that was pretty expensive to insure , fast forward a few years later to me now being 23 and I traded it for a 2025 Bronco Big Bend and my car insurance went down $600 every 6 months.
When got an email with the insurance quote I was shocked at how much it dropped for me, I’ve had 1 ticket in my 7 years of driving and that was when I lived in another state and the ticket no longer shows up under my current DL number.
I later found out that Chevy corvettes are cheaper to insure then Honda Civics in my area and Toyota corollas are more expensive to insure then F150 trucks.
The guy on the phone said that ford mavericks, Honda CRVs and other SUVs as well as midsize trucks are usually the cheapest to insure and Honda , Toyota and Tesla are the most expensive and other brands like Mazda and Nissan ( depending on the vehicle) are usually in the middle when it comes to cost.
But how could a car like a corvette be cheaper then a family sedan/economy car and how could a large SUV like a Bronco be cheaper then a Honda accord?
I may sound stupid here but unfortunately I just hear a lot of people judgment and it makes me question everything.
But basically my question is, are mustangs easy to drive ??? I’ve wanted a mustang forever now but everyone ( my mother and other family members ) say they are dangerous to drive and easy to crash.
Everyone has made it sound like as soon as you floor it you’ll spin out…… is that accurate or is that just exaggerated???
I see the videos all the time of people crashing mustangs , so are they actually hard to drive or are people just stupid???
I don’t wanna have to worry about spinning out and crashing just from getting on it a bit.
I could just be overthinking this which I’m sure I am
Around me in Florida and even back home in KY there’s no mini dealerships anywhere close to me , let alone minis in general, I hardly see them when I used to see them more in the early 2010s
My brother had a clubman and once the warranty went out it was a big pile of shit, but aside from the unreliability they used to be a lot more common
I’ve been looking at new outlanders , a few people actually recommend me look at them, but then others are saying they are unreliable, they are junk and they are just rebadged Nissan rouges ( which the new ones seem to be just fine also)
But Mitsubishi offers a 10 year/100k mile warranty on all new vehicles as well as other 6 year/60k warranties on other components of the car.
I haven’t heard of Jatco CVTs past 2020 having issues anymore , all the issues seem to be on cars from 2019 and older.
Not only that I see and hear a lot of outlanders get to 200k with regular maintenance.
What gives outlanders such a bad reputation???? I actually think they are fine but I know others think differently, but it seems like Mitsubishis reputation has dwindled a lot since they got rid of the cool cars.
Yet the stuff they still have have been proven to be reliable yet it gets so much hate…… why?
61 years of Mustang and it never skipped a beat (other then the Mustang II)
