What do you think of Hindu gods' idols placed in museums?
So during the colonial era many of the idols were taken out of the temples and placed in museums for display.
Personally, I find it a bit disturbing, as we Hindus revere the idols and Murtis. We put them in the temples, pray to them and have an emotional connection with them.
But when in the museums, they are put on display as some object that's to be seen and money to be earned from their display—it's disappointing and somewhat insulting.
Those idols have a generational memory for us; our ancestors prayed to them, had a connection to them, & respected them, & now those same idols are being displayed in museums as some object without the proper care & glory they were bestowed with at one point.
Also, people use them for commercial purposes—charging visitors money to see them.
I find this a bit disturbing and insulting.
How do you guys feel about that?

Hidden Casteism- which for some reason is not discussed
Songbun (or chulsin-songbun)
North K0rea's state-directed, hereditary caste system that classifies citizens based on the political, social, and economic background of their ancestors and relatives, particularly their loyalty to the K!m regime. It divides the population into three primary castes—core, wavering, and hostile—determining access to food, housing, education, and career opportunities.
- Classification: The population is divided into three main groups: Core (loyal, 28%), Wavering (neutral, 45%), and Hostile (dangerous, 27%) classes.
- Hereditary Nature: Songbun is assigned at birth, based primarily on the perceived loyalty of one's father and grandfather.
- Impact on Life: It dictates where people live, what they eat, what jobs they can hold, and whether they can join the Workers' Party of Korea.
The Classes:
- Core Class: Includes those who helped the regime during the Korean War, anti-Japanese fighters, and their families.
- Wavering Class: Includes those with relatives in South Korea or China, former small-scale merchants, and intellectuals.
- Hostile Class: Includes descendants of landowners, religious people, or those deemed anti-Party, who are frequently marginalised.
The indian system is widely known but there are other societies including atheist socities where c@steism happens. But sadly there is very much less known about them.
At this point, the writers have history books from the future

Why is the algorithm suggesting two different power structure level post?
So I have a theory and want to know your opinion on it
>Cats has very fast reaction time compared to snakes
>Because of which cats can easily overpower and even kill snakes
>Now in ancient egypt there was snake problem
> where many people were suffering because of snakes
>Then they saw cats there easily overpowering the snakes
>People started to adore cat and keep them for protection from snakes
> Slowly, over time, cats were associated with protection from snakes
>Many myths, heroic stories of cats defeating snakes started to spread
> After few more times later , and people started to pray to cats, thinking it's a protective deity
> We have Bastet - an ancient Egyptian deity with a cat as its head, and is for protection
I dunno if the Nature of this post is as per sub rules(mods can delete post if it is not)
For the first time ever, there is no communist party won in India
even in Kerala
Where for the first time in the world a communist govt. came to power through an election
So i have noticed that atheists generalise all religion as the same, like
"All religion is bad."
"All God(s) fake."
Above are some of their fav. lines.
So can theists also generalise the atheists?
1- Mass Killings
Under the banner of c0mmunism , atheist killed thousands of innocent theists
(Can look at U$$R purge of theist, also Ch!nese cultural revolution)
2- Caste system
Atheist follow c@ste system- surprised?
Angain they do it under the banner
search for
Songbun system of N.K0rea
Whatever they accuse theists of- they do it themselves, but conveniently hide it
Why it matters here?
As Atheist always claim and love to generalise all religion as same
"All religion bad sir"
"All gods are myths"
Are some of their fav. lines
then there is nothing wrong is generalising all atheist as same - be they c0mmunist or capitalist- they are atheists
So I just woke up from most weird dream ever and want to share it
In a dream, I am working in a biotechnology company that has started using neur@link advanced versions.
(Don't ask me how those advanced versions work; also, biotechnology isn't my major irl.)
And then in the dream world, they achieved a breakthrough when they managed to merge two different people into the same being using that neur@link and some other process.
The breakthrough was so big that in order to decide on the next step, they called for a meeting in the meeting room.
But strangely, only 3 people were invited- Me, the CEO, and another co-researcher.
I thought it was weird—why only 3 people? But got along
Then the meeting room happened to be in the basement, where instead of a door, we had to pull up a lid to get in. My suspicion grew more.
Then a guard was there who said he would escort me there and jumped into the basement.
Then as I was about to jump, I suddenly noticed the basement door transforming into something resembling a gate from hell.
I refused to jump and got out of the building... and then i woke up.
So have a question—
Suppose there is an electronic household object with AI in it- can it become a Tsukumogami after 100 years?
If yes,
then what happens to it then?
Because it would mean that AI is technically gaining sentience.
Edit- Tsukumogami are tools or household objects in Japanese folklore that gain their own spirit or kami after about 100 years of use, becoming sentient.
