My acne has gotten significantly worse over the past year, what do you think is going on?

Hi everyone, I’m 20 and I’ve had acne since I was around 16.
It has always been mostly pustules rather than the typical red pimples.

For the first few years it was pretty mild and manageable, but over the past year it has gotten significantly worse.

I’ve started getting a lot more inflamed spots, pustules, redness and marks, especially around my cheeks and jaw. I also started shaving much more frequently during this time, so my skin has been exposed to a lot more shaving and irritation, but I honestly don’t know if that’s related or not.

For shaving I use a single blade cartridge razor (before anyone suggests a safety razor, I used that for a while and it made my skin even worse).
Before shaving I always use a cleanser and apply a shaving soap, afterwards I use an after shave balm.

My dermatologist prescribed Acnatac (tretinoin + clindamycin), which I’m supposed to apply on those areas every other night. I haven’t seen much improvement so far, although I haven’t been using it for very long. I also use a cleanser specifically intended for acne.

I’ve attached some pictures of what my skin looks like right now.

Looking at the pictures and considering the history, what do you think could be going on? I’d really appreciate some help cause all of this is really making me less confident !

How shoule Faruzan be built?

I have her C6 and planning to use her with Mizuki.
I read mixed opinions on VV, apparently it’s useless to buff stellar dmg, so I was wondering whether it’d be okay enough to just stack random artifacts in order to get high er% and crit rate for favonius bow.

I think talents can stay level 1 since her dmg is negligible, but what about her level? Does she need to be lvl.90?

Thank you!

I feel so fricking lost

Hi everyone,

I’m a 20 years old male from Europe.

I’ve been trying to figure out what degree to pursue for basically the past year, and I’m honestly still stuck.
This has severely affected both my mental and physical health to a point where I developed a health condition because of the stress I’ve been living through the past year.

I’ve already tried building engineering with architecture and ended up realizing that neither was really for me.

I’ve been going back and forth between medicine, economics, and law for months, and now I actually have to make a decision.

At this point, I was leaning toward economics, and I have until this Tuesday to give my final answer.

There are definitely things about economics that I like. I’m genuinely interested in economic concepts, I love following current events, and I like that the degree also touches on things like history and geography (which were my favorite subjects in high school).

The problem is that I absolutely hate the world of finance, and I can already picture myself hating my life if I ended up sitting in an office doing Excel spreadsheets all day. I need to feel like my work actually means something to someone or contributes to something beyond just making money for a company.

For as long as I can remember, I’ve also wanted to be an investigator. I love crime, criminal cases, figuring things out, connecting pieces together, etc. But for various reasons, I don’t really want to go into law enforcement, at least not right away. I’m not completely ruling it out in the future, but it’s not something I want to commit to at 20.

The other alternative would be studying law and eventually becoming a prosecutor, but realistically, being a prosecutor isn’t really the same thing as being an investigator, which is the part that actually attracts me.

And then there’s another side of me that I don’t want to ignore: I absolutely love the world. I love discovering new places, I love foreign languages (I speak several fluently), and whenever I’ve imagined my future career, I’ve always pictured myself having some kind of international dimension to it.
Traveling, living abroad for a while, experiencing different countries, maybe even studying at an American university someday, something I’ve wanted to do for years.

Economics seemed like a way of keeping that door open. But the more I think about it realistically, the more I wonder whether I’m just choosing a degree because of possibilities that may never actually materialize.

For example, doing a graduate degree in the US would be extremely expensive and highly competitive, and there’s no guarantee I’d even find a program that would make the cost and effort worthwhile.

The same goes for actually working in the US. I live in Europe, so realistically, how likely is it that I’d graduate and somehow get a job in the US without already having a visa or some kind of sponsorship? Probably not very likely.

And I don’t want to choose a degree simply because it theoretically keeps certain doors open if there’s a good chance those doors will never open in the first place.

I genuinely have no idea what the right move is anymore. I feel like I’ve been going in circles for a year and I desperately need some outside perspective.

Any advice would be really appreciated. Thanks!

Can anybody help me with Mavuika’s combo?

So I was trying to learn her CQ cdCccF 3[dcF] combo and I can’t really time my attacks right to melt all the hits…I was wondering if you guys could help me understand what I’m doing wrong.
My ping is pretty low as you can see.

Btw don’t mind the team I know I should use Iansan instead of Kazuha I have to build her.

Also, would my dmg be better if I used Escoffier and did a double cryo team? What would the rotation be in that case?

Thank you so much!

Any news on the DV lottery 2026? When are we going to be able to apply?

Thank you in advance for all the answers.
It would be my first time trying but honestly all the info I’ve found on the internet are very confusing and contradictory.

Is it worth it to try and use Mavuika in overload without Chevreuse?

I really hate playing Melt Mavuika because I don’t really have the time to learn all the difficult combos to melt all her attacks, therefore I was thinking of playing her in overload.
Point is that I don’t have Chevreuse (she’s the only 4* I’m missing) which I think is kind of a must in overload teams.

Do you guys have any suggestions? I have C2 Iansan, C2 Ororon, C6 Fischl, C6 Bennett.

Thank you.

Just got diagnosed

Hi everyone, I’m 20 years old and I was just diagnosed with ulcerative colitis.

I know that UC isn’t necessarily a devastating or life-threatening disease, and I’m aware that there are treatments and that many people live completely normal lives with it. I’m trying to keep that perspective.

I’m struggling with the idea of being diagnosed with a chronic illness at such a young age, and with the thought of probably having to take drugs everyday for the rest of my life.
It’s weird to think that at 20, when I’m supposed to be starting my adult life, there’s now this condition that I’ll potentially have to deal with for the rest of my life.

Even when I’ll be feeling fine and hopefully the disease will be well controlled, the thought that it’s there is difficult to process.

I think I’m mostly afraid of how this will affect my future — university, work, travelling, relationships, having a family, and just being able to live spontaneously without constantly thinking about my health.
I’ve had a very hard year for several reasons and this was really the cherry on top.

All kind words are greatly appreciated, thank you so much.

Economics vs. Law for a future career in criminal investigation/intelligence?

Hi everyone,

I’m a 20 years old male.

My dream career right now would be becoming a criminal investigator.
I love the investigative side of crime — researching cases, connecting the dots, figuring out what happened, etc.

The problem is that I’m from Europe, and in my country the closest equivalent to what I have in mind would probably be becoming a prosecutor (aside from LE, which would require me to join the military basically).

That would mean getting a law degree, which would qualify me for that career path here, but at the same time I’m worried it would limit my options if I eventually wanted to leave my country and work abroad — ideally in the US someday.

That’s why I’ve been considering studying economics instead. It seems like a more internationally transferable degree, and I was wondering whether a background in economics could still lead to careers in criminal investigation, intelligence, national security, diplomacy, etc.

For example, would it be realistic to eventually get into some kind of international security/intelligence agency with an economics background? Or would I be better off studying something else?

I’d really appreciate any advice from people who work in these fields or have taken a similar path.

I have a severe rectophobia and having some bowel issues

Hi everyone,

I’m 20, my weight is approximately 70 kg, I don’t smoke nor drink particularly and I don’t have any other notable diseases, but I’ve had IBS for years (mostly diarrhea and stomach pain), though I’ve never had blood in my stool before.

I was in London for 8 days and on the second day I started getting pain in my lower-left abdomen. I initially thought it was constipation because I couldn’t poop for about 3 days.

When I finally went, my stool was poorly formed and had some blood in it. A few days later I had another bowel movement with barely any stool but a lot of blood, and then I started having episodes where I was passing almost nothing but blood.

I went to the ER in London. They ruled out obvious rectal causes, and a CT/ultrasound showed significant inflammation and thickening of the descending colon. My WBCs were slightly abnormal but my hemoglobin was normal.

They suspected a colitis of some kind and gave me azithromycin 500 mg for 3 days. I’m now back in Italy and still having diarrhea and quite some blood everyday.

I should mention I don’t have any other symptoms as of now: no fever, no nausea etc.

I went to the ER again today and they wanted to do a rectal examination.
As I said in the title, I have an extreme phobia of anything involving anal insertion.
I know it sounds irrational, but I genuinely panic, shake, cry and completely tense up. I couldn’t even let them do the exam.

What really upset me today was the way the doctor handled it. He hadn’t seen me before and didn’t really explain what he was about to do. I was already visibly shaking and crying, and I kept asking how long it would take and what exactly he was going to do. He eventually gave up and basically told me I’d wasted his time because he had other patients to see.

I’m supposed to have a rectoscopy tomorrow, but I’m absolutely terrified. I had a colonoscopy 4 years ago and could only get through it under full sedation.
Apparently the rectoscopy is conducted with just a bland sedation and of course the thought of it terrifies me.

The doctor also told me to do two enemas beforehand, but the leaflet lists abdominal pain of unknown cause and rectal bleeding as contraindications.
Considering I have active colitis and ongoing bloody diarrhea, I’m really unsure about doing this.

Can anyone help me? Aside from the panic and confusion, I honestly have been feeling pretty bad health-wise.

I’m on vacation and my bowel has been hurting every day

Hi,

So I have ibs, I’ve been diagnosed with it around 3 years ago.
Recently I also discovered I’m lactose intolerant so there’s also that.
This is just to say that I’m not new to these symptoms and I’ve learned to live with it.

Now, my problem atm is that I’m on vacation and since I’ve left home my bowel has been hurting so bad.

Usually when I have these kind of cramps I end up having diarrhea and I instantly feel better.
Now it has been at least 4 days that frequently during the day my stomach hurts at random, but when I go to the toilet either I’m constipated or I poop normally.

This is honestly pretty weird for me cause for the longest time now when I feel my stomach hurting I just know I’ll end up having diarrhea and then I’ll feel better after eating a lighter meal for a couple of days.

This time is different…ofc I’m on vacation so I’m eating different kind of things every day, surely not white rice or boiled potatoes.

For context I’m taking a supplement cateted for ibs which has proved to be somehow helpful in the past and Yovis, which is a probiotic.

Any help is greatly appreciated!!

35 mm film prices

Hi everyone,

I just bought an HP5 film for my 35 mm camera at a shop on Wardour Street (London) and I was charged £18.5.

I was told those types of films in the UK were much cheaper, so I was a bit surprised when I saw the price (which is basically on par with what I would’ve paid for it in my country, but still I thought I would have saved something buying film in the UK).

Was it overpriced in your opinion?

Uber X capacity

Hi everyone!

Tomorrow I’ll be landing at Heatrow with my family (we are 4) and we were thinking of taking an Uber to reach our hotel in central London.

We have 1 small carry-on each (8 kg max), 1 small backpack each and just 1 hold luggage (so a total of 5 suitcases).

I was wondering whether I should book an Uber X or an Uber XL.

Thank you so much!

London hidden gems for someone who has already seen the main attractions?

Hi!

So tomorrow I’ll be back in London after 12 years of having been there the first time and I’m so excited!

I’m looking for to see again the main attractions but honestly I think I’ll skip the main museums altogether cause I have already seen them.

What are some cool places turists don’t usually go to but that are worth it in your opinion?

Thank you so much!!

UPDATE: thank you guys for giving me so many suggestions, I’ll take my time to look into them, really appreciate it!!

Regarding the tube’s daily cap…

Hi everyone.

I’ll be in London next week, and I have some questions regarding the tube.
I’ll be traveling with my family (we are 4).
Can the 4 of us pay our tickets directly at the turnstile using the same card?
Will the 4 tickets count towards the 9£ daily cap quota? Or shall we use different paying methods for the system to recognize we are different people?

Thank you!

Food recs in central London

Hi!

Me and my family are going to be in London next week.

We’ll stay between Victoria Station and Pimlico and we were looking for some food recs in central London, ideally near the main attractions.

Our budget would be around 30£ x person (per meal), so nothing excessively fancy but we’re fine with eating in some nice restaurants!

My parents don’t like ethnic food that much so we’ll probably avoid those kind of restaurants unfortunately.

Let me know!! Thanks a lot.
