94yo British Jewish human right lawyer refuses to back down during a protest against Palestine Action proscription

Margaret Owen OBE refutes police pleas to abandon the protest or give up her sign reading ‘I oppose genocide, I support Palestine Action.’

Support for PA is currently illegal in the UK under section 13 of the amended Terrorism Act 2003, carrying a maximum penalty of 14 years in prison. The group founder is currently fighting the proscription in court, supported by advocacy groups. The organisers of the sit ins are Defend our Juries.

Dear gang, I come to you at a time of great need. I’m like 90% done with this 28,800 stitches thingy and I’m out of audio entertainment ideas. Please lmk what podcasts/audio books etc you like.

I especially like nature/science/politics (but evil autism friendly, no right wing or hateful trash), light hearted banter/comedy like The Rest is Entertainment and anything and everything made by fellow autists. But anything that you get lost in for hours at a time would be much appreciated 🫶
