Grab a barf bucket and behold the U.S. passport commemorating the 250th.

I am so grateful we don’t all have to get this ugly thing! Imagine entering one of the many countries Trump has made our enemy and showing this piece of crap to the border agent. And of course he picked the picture that he thinks makes him look scary 🤣! Instead he looks like an angry old fat man using his walker. I don’t know if any country that has their current “leader” on their passport. This is so embarrassing.

Edit: You don’t have to get the passport. It is commemorative and only available in DC. Thank god!

New York, 1917. Examining a potential sailor aboard the "landship" Recruit.

The examination is taking place aboard the USS Recruit, nicknamed the “landship” Recruit.

The Recruit was not a real, seaworthy ship. It was a full-size wooden model of a battleship built in Manhattan’s Union Square during World War I. The Navy used it as a recruiting station, training facility, and public exhibit. It was officially operated much like a commissioned Navy ship, even though it never touched the water.

Anthony Bourdain's Mortadella Sandwich

I keep coming back to this. Ingredients for those who have yet to try:

3 piles (3 slices of mortadella each)

3 slices of provolone (you could do half slices instead)

Kaiser roll (toasted or not, individual's preference)

Dijon mustard

Mayo

Heat pan to medium high heat, add butter or neutral oil

Place meat piles and cook for 1-2 minutes

Flip piles and top each with cheese, cover pan for 1-2 minutes

Spread mayo on one half of roll, mustard on the other

Place cheesy piles onto roll and enjoy.
