Nothing like a mama bear and her cubs casually playing in your backyard.
Is this a White-crowned Sparrow?
I apologize about the photo quality! I got so excited. I recently upgraded the birdseed varieties, and am seeing many birds I’ve not seen visit before.
Thank you in advance!

Does anyone know how common it is for the Eastern Gray squirrel to have ginger babies?
He’s tiny, maybe 8 inches/20 cm long. His tail is not fully grown in. He runs alone, but is pretty bossy. The adults let him have his pick of treats!
He’s absolutely adorable, and we love the little fella. I’m curious, though: How often are these babies this color? And will he eventually look more grey, like all our adults?
Just a last quick note:
We have quite a few squirrels on the property. A couple dozen or 3+, and they’re all grey.
I’ve been here 30+ years, and have never seen a ginger one like this. A couple albino squirrels, sure. But not a cutie like this guy!
Thank you for your help!
