Atharva College of engineering review by a person who has completed his first year

***PROS***

  1. attendance is lenient like actually very lenient some people don't come yet have 85-90 percent attendance here

  2. it is very near the metro station so it's not a hassle to come it's walking distance

  3. The campus is soo good for college at this percentile it's big and many activities are held .The campus is fantastic i must say

  4. if you're travelling via railway there are many buses you can take to reach college

5.events are alot and they are very good and this is coming from a person who doesn't like to go to events.

  1. the fees is cheap. only 1.06 lakhs for general and 0 yes 0 for sc/st .

7.the labs classrooms(except first floor) are so well made . class rooms have cushion seat which is a game changer and white board is used and labs most of them are equipped with a well computer mainly i512400 and also big monitor. I must say they have done very very good job in this thing. and yes college has so many plants and trees . and is very clean I think this makes it very good.

***CONS***

1.if your coming via ils it's very hefty and it's not recommended to take it

  1. The canteen is an absolute 🐶 💩. the food is not really good and it's expensive

  2. speaking of the canteen there is no place to sit. because this college has SO MANY COURSES OH MY . there is university then bsc ones then cookery then hotel management there are literally so many courses.

  3. non autonomous, university checks 💩

  4. most of the people here are marathi speaking so if you don't you will have a very hard time bonding which I seem to have(crowd in general is absolutely garbage)

  5. at this percentile at least for general many people were getting colleges like thakur shyamnarayan which is a bit better because of the thakur brand but even then you can take lr tiwari which is autonomous but I can still see why they will not pick as thakur is very new (no placement records)and lr tiwari is known to have very bad crowd and placement and campus seems to be worse so you can just survive 2 years of non autonomous for better of rest.also the college does not provide question banks for internal exams (most college do) so you will have hard time scoring and cg would be low

but i kid you not there are some people are picking this over st Francis there is no way in the world that atharva is better than st Francis . st Francis is to be picked over atharva. atleast for now

  1. The last point is that the area is soo bad i kid you not the college campus area and the outside area looks like day and night . the area is bad slums just are there after which isn't much of problem but there is so much construction. there is always so much dust . and the trees are less and there is no place to eat outside there are barely any food stalls . I don't even eat anything here in the malad area. the area is worse than kurla

and yeah if you're coming from a local railway well it's 3km and buses are crowded when coming from college to station you will be lucky sometimes if you even get to enter inside the bus it's so cramped. plus many people come from virar nallasopara side so they have to get cramped the second time when coming from railway . it's hassle. and yes the local xerox guy is also graduate from atharva so ☠️☠️

Kuch skills bata do. Sucked up my semester 2 exams aswell

Maths 2- integration mein lag gaye definitely back in this

Engineering drawing - decent

Engineering materials - decent

Data structure - bad ismei bhi kt ke chance hai

Semiconductor physics - too much heartbreaking in this I analysed so much into last year's paper and saw numerical coming of 16-22 marks out of 45 so i did numericals like top priority and in the end numericals did not even come maybe 1-2 .and luck was so bad like out of 2,3,4,5 . You have to attempt only 2 . In my case I knew some sub questions of all of them like 2a 3b 4c 5a and all so i could not utilise it

Semiconductor physics paper sem 2 non autonomous

Last year paper had 20 marks of numericals

Thought this year would be same . Aaya toh 8 marks ka bas even kt paper had 16 marks numerical

2 ,3,4,5

Mein sei koi 2 karna tha

And mujhe sabka thoda thoda sub question aata tha

This is now even cheaper than hsc and best thing is that we don't have to go to our school teachers to get it checked because half of the time these idiots are on vacation

If all job is going to be done by ai and robots, and all money go to the rich, how would the economy function? If ppl have no jobs, then no one has a salary, if we don't have salary what we gonna spend?

If the vast majority of the workforce is laid off then who will have the money to buy their products, aka consumers will be gone too then how will these companies run without consumers?

Basically first and 4th year papers are checked by the university(basically other colleges teachers check)and they purposely fail students so they can earn money through re-evaluation (250 per paper)That's why I recommend everyone to pick an autonomous college affiliated to mu . A post after cet will be posted explaining everything in detail especially this 💩 nep scheme

One of my papers

They even themselves agreed that they make a loss because that year it was only MCQ based so no one did re evaluation
