Belos 🤝 Mogui: Making the Main Character’s Life Worse
One’s a creepy emperor, one’s a demon parasite, both need to leave the main character alone.
Dragon Striker may have been renewed for Season 2
According to The Disney Beat, Dragon Striker may have been renewed for more episodes.
They shared a comment from an artist who worked on Season 1, saying it has already been confirmed that they’ll be making Season 2 in the future. The post also clarified that this would mean an actual Season 2, not just more Season 1 episodes in production order.
Nothing official has been announced yet, so take it with a grain of salt for now. But if true, this is exciting news for Dragon Striker fans.
Would you want to see the show continue?
Characters who are somehow the most decent person in a deeply questionable family
Jentry Chau fits this because her family history is extremely messy. Her parents were black market dealers of Daoist magic, and they got involved with Mr. Cheng while trying to steal the Yellow Emperor’s robe. On top of that, Gugu kept major truths hidden from Jentry, especially about her parents and her past. But Jentry herself is not like that. She keeps trying to protect people, do the right thing, and become her own person instead of being defined by her family’s mistakes.
Adrien Agreste fits because he is one of the few genuinely kind people in the Agreste family drama. His father Gabriel is secretly Hawk Moth, the main villain for much of Miraculous Ladybug, but Adrien is usually gentle, caring, and trying to help people instead of hurting them.
Brett Hand is the comedy version of this trope. He comes from a rich, cold, emotionally awful family, but he somehow grew up sweet, cheerful, and desperate to make people happy. He’s basically golden retriever energy surviving rich-family villain coding.
Iyanu composer hopes the show returns for Season 3
Iyanu’s composer said they’re hoping the show gets a Season 3, saying, “Cartoon Network, please give us season three.”
I really hope the show gets to continue. It has such a strong world, beautiful animation, and a lot of story potential left.
Would you want to see Iyanu return for Season 3?
Star Wars: Visions Presents could open the door for more long-form Visions anime stories
The new Star Wars: Visions Presents banner seems pretty interesting.
The press release says it will be used for longer-form Star Wars: Visions stories, which makes The Ninth Jedi feel like more than just a one-off anime series. It seems like Lucasfilm may be testing a way to expand some Visions ideas into full limited series.
I don’t think this confirms a bunch of new shows yet, but it does feel like a good sign for the future of Visions. A lot of the shorts had worlds and characters that felt like they could support more than one episode, and The Ninth Jedi was definitely one of them.
I’d love to see this become a way for Star Wars to experiment with more anime projects while still keeping the creative freedom that made Visions stand out.
AnimationSignal — Discover underrated animation
I made a small site called AnimationSignal, a discovery hub for underrated animation, including shows, films, shorts, web series, student films, and indie projects.
The goal is to help people find hidden gems in a positive, respectful way without turning it into spam, guilt-tripping, or pressure campaigns.
I’m still working on it and I’d really appreciate feedback. Does the purpose come across clearly? Is the layout easy to understand? Is there anything confusing, missing, or something I should add to make the site more useful?
Any honest feedback or suggestions would help a lot.
Jentry Chau got mentioned in Collider’s “animated shows even diehards haven’t seen” list
Jentry Chau vs. the Underworld got included in Collider’s article “The 8 Greatest Animated Shows Even Diehards Haven’t Seen.”
The article calls it a “Netflix surprise” and says it’s one of the newer animated titles that never truly got off the ground. It also praises the show for being addictive, emotionally warm, funny, and having a specific cultural texture that helps it stand apart from more generic YA supernatural animated shows.
It’s really nice to see Jentry Chau still getting attention, especially from an animation-related list like this. The show slipped past a lot of people when it came out, so mentions like this are a good reminder that it still has the potential to find more viewers over time.
Hopefully more people give it a chance.
The Little Trashmaid - Animated Pilot (Backerkit)
I've a "silly" question for the subreddit.
We (Silly Studios) are preparing the launch of a crowdfunding on Backerkit to produce the animated pilot of our project "The Little Trashmaid" on the 17th July and I was wondering if it was possible to share here the link or the announcement of the launch when it will be live (at the moment it's just on a pre-launch phase on Backerkit where we give some gifts for who follow the project).
So...
Is it possible to share it our crowdfunding campaign?
We're preparing also 2 animation teasers for the launch and I wanted to share them here too.
In case is not possible, let me know.
I don't want to be considered a spammer.
Anime-Inspired Series ‘Dragon Striker’ Gets Second Season at Disney (early 2027 release)
hollywoodreporter.comGotta Go! | Short Film by MAKE Originals
Sharing Gotta Go! from MAKE Originals.
It’s a short animated film with a bold, 80s anime-inspired style and a quick cyberpunk/action feel.
Looks like a fun pick for anyone into short-form animation, stylized action, or indie studio projects.

If you like Gravity Falls, you should try The Doomies.
Both shows have that “something weird is happening in this town” setup. Gravity Falls follows Dipper and Mabel spending the summer in a strange town full of secrets, supernatural creatures, and mysteries connected to the town itself. The Doomies follows Bobby and Romy in a coastal town where they accidentally open a gateway to Subterra, unleashing monsters and supernatural chaos.
The similarities are clear: strange towns, supernatural creatures, mystery and comedy, and young characters drawn into something bigger than they expected, blending spooky fun with emotional moments.
The difference is that Gravity Falls leans more into puzzles, journals, hidden codes, and a bigger mystery slowly unfolding, while The Doomies feels more like a horror-comedy adventure with monster-fighting, a cursed character, and a portal-to-evil setup.
So The Doomies is not “the next Gravity Falls,” because that sets expectations way too high. But if you enjoy spooky animated shows with weird towns, supernatural trouble, and strong character dynamics, The Doomies is absolutely worth watching and stands on its own as a fun, engaging series.

r/AnimationSignal
r/AnimationSignal is a small community for animation fans who want to discover and share underrated animated shows, films, shorts, web series, indie projects, trailers, reviews, and hidden gems.
The goal is positive discovery. A lot of animated projects get overlooked, underpromoted, or forgotten too quickly, and this subreddit is meant to give fans a place to spread the word without spam, pressure campaigns, guilt-tripping, or doomposting.
If you like finding animation outside the usual spotlight, feel free to check it out.
The Doomies is trending at #7 of the Top 10 on Disney+ in the United States.
This is really nice to see. The Doomies just premiered on Disney+ with 22 half-hour episodes, and seeing it already reach the U.S. Top 10 is a good sign for a new animated series. It has that spooky comedy-adventure vibe with Bobby and Romy accidentally opening a gateway to evil, so if you like animated shows with monsters, mystery, and chaotic best-friend energy, this might be worth checking out.

Season 4 of My Adventures with Superman isn’t confirmed yet, but it doesn’t sound dead either
According to Michael Ouweleen, Cartoon Network doesn’t know yet if My Adventures with Superman will get a Season 4, and the decision is now more up to DC Studios with James Gunn and Peter Safran.
I know “we don’t know yet” sounds stressful, but honestly this feels more like a wait and see situation than a cancellation. He also mentioned that DC Studios looked at the series and basically said it was fine to keep going, so the door still seems open.
Hopefully Season 3 does well enough for them to continue it, because this show deserves more time. It has such a fun take on Superman, Clark, Lois, Jimmy, and the whole DC world. I’d really hate for it to end before it gets to fully grow.
