For many people, the car has become more about showing money and status. How they look on the road matters more than how they behave on it.
This does not mean every Thar, Fortuner, Defender or SUV owner drives like this. Many drive responsibly. But this kind of behaviour has become far too common in North India in recent years.
Having an expensive car does not give anyone more rights on the road. Traffic rules apply to everyone.
