I don't see how the new 'editions' are money grabs or milking the preexisting players
It's just a discounted bundle option meant for new players. If you already purchased the DLCs when they came out you already own it and can't purchase it for yourself.
If they did something like "Repurchase this game and you'll get an exclusive cosmetic" or some other form of double dipping THAT would be an entirely different situation.
[ALL] It might be nice to see Lyla again
As I said in another thread I think a direct sequel to LiS2 is all but impossible because there are four different endings. At this point Sean's either dead, in prison until 2032, in Mexico by himself or there with Daniel. (Similarly, Daniel's either with his grandparents, in Mexico alone or with his brother.) In comparison reconciling Bae/Bay in RE was simple.
That being said I think Lyla returning the way Steph did in TC might be a nice way to continue the canon of LiS2 further. It would just be a case of different dialogue trees depending on what ending the player had and we could hear from her (if possible) how the brothers are doing.
On top of that she was a fun character in LiS2 that was (understandably given the plot) underused and it would be nice to see her return regardless.
Possibly added duplicate controller templates, how remove?
I might have clicked the ”add templates to steam” bit more than once so under search for retrodeck there are a bunch of duplicate templates. just wondering if there’s a simple way to clean out the duplicates.
PSP or PS2 Roms for Silent Hill Origins on RetroDeck
I was under the impression before that the PSP version was the preferred version and that the PS2 was a lousy port. Now I’m hearing that the PSP version is bugged on PPSSPP in regards to saving and flashlights. Just wondering what the opinions here are.
How do Silent Hill f or Silent Hill 2 remake play on Boosteroid?
I would be playing both at QHD, not full 4K.

Halloween producer Ryan Freimann on why they can't censor the game in Australia like some have suggested
Until Dawn and Little Nightmares 3 studio Supermassive announces further layoffs, with as many as 75 people expected to lose their jobs
eurogamer.netAustralian Classifications Board denied "Halloween: The Game" a rating over drug use
Australia's rules state that "interactive illicit or proscribed drug use that acts as an incentive, boost, or gameplay reward is strictly not permitted at any classification level. Games that violate this rule face Refused Classification (RC), meaning they cannot be legally sold or imported."
In Halloween smoking weed allows you to ping Michael which falls under this restriction.

How to/should I recommend Jack Ketchum outside of EH circles
A while ago someone asked for horror writers with similar writing styles as Stephen King. I suggested Jack Ketchum (because imo there is overlap between the two) without any specific recommendations and I added “He has a lot of triggers in his works so be warned“. I usually say stuff like this when recommending him.
That person came back a while later and he told me he read ‘The Girl Next Door’. He was polite about it but he said it was the worst thing he read content wise and he read it in the hopes things would turn out better which they don’t. He indicated I might have given more serious warnings because when I said “triggers“ he didn’t think much of it because he’s usually not fazed. I felt bad and apologized, he said not to worry about it, we talked a little more and I suggested he might like ‘Red’ better.
Just wondering how or even if I should recommend Ketchum in cases like this. I’ve since tried to say stuff like “his work can be extreme, check triggers beforehand” or stuff like that but just wondering if anyone had any other suggestions. (I suppose if I were to recommend something like ‘Girl’ specifically I would give more specific content warnings.) I don’t want someone to have a bad experience or throw them in the deep end without warning. At the same time I don’t want to scare people away and make Ketchum sound worse than he actually is because I once stayed away from his work as a result of people who did that.
