Does anyone else have this same issue?

I'm 30F living in the US. My pollen allergies peak in the same 2 months every single year (April and May). I think it's either grass pollen or tree pollen (or both).

My main symptom is runny/stuffy nose. It's so bad to the point where I have to blow my nose every minute of every hour. It's been disrupting my life.

I've tried several types of antihistamines (loratadine, cetirizine, etc) but nothing works. I'm thinking about getting allergy shots but idk if those actually work (if anyone here has experience with those, let me know!).

Anyways, is anyone else here going through a similar experience? If so, what has worked for you?

[18] to [30] Sometimes maintenance can be better than improvement

This is gonna be a different type of glow up than what you've all been seeing in this subreddit. I know that I wasn't hideous back when I was younger, but the fact that I've maintained my appearance for over a decade should not be overlooked. I've spent so much dedication on avoiding the sun and using SPF so that I can be forever young. I also spend over an hour everyday on my skincare and haircare.

So now at 30 years old, I'm hoping I can reach 40 while still maintaining my youthful appearance.

How I study for 10 hours a day

Hey, my name's Studier (which is a nickname that my friends call me since I'm always studying). I'm a 30F nursing student and studyholic who studies for 10 hours a day.

I wanna mention that I count studying during my lectures in class as part of the 10 hour count.

I also wanna preface by saying that I do NOT recommend studying for this long to anyone. You will get burned out and mentally fatigued without the proper preparations. Therefore, this post is mostly for my fellow studyholics who actually enjoy long study sessions.

Anyways, here are 3 tips that have helped me survive these long hours of studying:

  1. Get plenty of sleep every night! When you're wide awake, you'll be more attentive and focused. It's hard to explain, but you'll get that feeling of enthusiasm when studying with what I call the "well rested boost". If you try studying while feeling sleepy, you won't retain anything. So just take a nap and don't try to fight your sleep.
  2. Work your way up. In other words, start off with studying for 1 hour a day then gradually progress to 2 hours a day, then 3 hours a day, so on and so forth. If you go straight to 10 hours a day without any prep, you're gonna burn out.
  3. Find the perfect place to study. I personally mix it up depending on my schedule. Like sometimes I study in my room, other times I study in my school library, and sometimes I study in my car. If you procrastinate easily, try leaving your phone or other devices away from you since you'll be less likely to procrastinate when it's just you and your textbook.

The general trends in my school are figs pants, ipads, and celsius energy drinks.

The specific trend in my school is that a lot of girls in my cohort bring their switch 2 to class and play animal crossing during our breaks lmao.

What trends do you have in your school?

I'm mixed (Japanese, Irish, and Mexican) so I've dealt with feeling like an alien all throughout high school. But now that I'm in college, I'm working on making my features work. I'm mostly focusing on haircare, skincare, makeup, fashion, nails, dental, and fitness.

I'm also tryna work on my self-confidence since I have BDD.
