CA income threshold is $1836. I make $1800 from UI. Got denied, letter says I make $1950. Wtf?

My rent and bills are obviously way more than what unemployment covers, so there is already a huge deficit. Even then, I got rejected. Why would they change my 1800/mo to 1950/mo and reject me?

Anyone have real Pineapple Fried Rice recipes they can share?

I tried nearly a dozen places in my area and only one seems to truly nail it. Everyone else tends to not fry the rice, add spice etc. They usually serve super moist/yellow rice with pineapple and chicken, where as the pictured place fries the rice and packs with flavor.

At this point I'd prefer not to drive so far and spend over $20 to get my fix, so trying to figure out how to do it.

Would best practices be fish sauce + oyster sauce? Curry powder? Sesame oil?

When I go to the particular spot that serves up the photographed dish and ask for a level 4 on heat, they actually deliver heat. Every single other place will give me zero heat lol. Not even sure if this is a dish known to be served spicy or not, but I like it spicy. I don't really see chopped peppers though, does that mean they probably use some sort of paste?

If anyone has a recipe they are willing to share, I would greatly appreciate it. When I search Google I tend to find a lot of the same recipes, most use soy sauce etc. When reading into it more I tend to get steered away from using soy sauce for an authentic Thai version of this dish

Yamaha RX machines worth it over downloading samples?

I really like the RX drums, 12bit DAC etc. My workflow is recording only, so I don't need a tactile machine to turn knobs on, play live with, etc. Though I do want the full sound profile and sample flavor. Is it better to still purchase one of these machines in order to get access to pitch/DAC control? Or are there good sample packs out there that will cover all of the RX samples, pitch variations with aliasing etc?

Someone bought 20 items, messaged me to cancel the next day. What are my options?

Buyer bought a bunch of items yesterday, then reached out today requesting cancellation, likely due to impulse spending etc.

We clearly have no cancellations/sales final listed in notes. It's frustrating because these items took time to stream/sell, and other people would have bought them but this person is doing this.

Is worst case that we just ship them out and get a bad review out of spite? We didn't know what to tell the seller, and we are frustrated because this costed us time via streaming and responding, packaging etc so just advised they reach out to whatnot support then they came back saying that we are the ones that have to cancel.

What would you do?

Anyone wish we got more DD action, character development etc and less Fisk (yet again) + politics?

Especially with BA, I feel like DD is unique and the fighting/action scenes are awesome but it all felt like it took a back seat compared to the original series.

The BA seasons felt sacrificed, like they committed the show to simulating/mirroring a political notion following/entering election cycles, and much of the classic hero journey and action we tend to watch this stuff for were secondary.

Idk, regardless of fans beliefs it was sorta unnatural to bring Fisk back for a third time, expecting us to believe that after fooling everyone AGAIN in S03, playing the FBI etc, that he somehow came back and rose to power as he did. Hard to not question the writer motives at this point, as it felt too forced and complete with buzzwords. To be honest, it sorta felt like straight up propaganda at times lol. I understand when these things get sprinkled into a political show, like House Of Cards, Designated Survivor etc but a Marvel superhero show to primarily be about that more than the hero was odd 🤷

Hopefully we get another Fisk season

I feel like S01 and S03, and BA S01 and S02 weren't enough, we need a other Fisk rise to power, and then DD can't/won't kill him so then it takes a whole season to take him down and then he goes away and comes back to fool everyone again

Anyways, do we know what S03 or BA is going to be about?

At one point did you pay for the subscription?

The sub says $20 but it's actually $30, at least in California. Did you just commit with the subscription if planning to see at least 2 movies a month?

I was trying to reach back and plug a usbc cable into mobo, but accidentally touched an A port with the tip and my system abruptly restarted. Did I damage it?

Could it have restarted because of some sort of shock/short? It was a blue usba 3 port 🥴

Anyone wish they went all in on the dark parts of BND? I guess they cut a lot out to make it more PG13 and less dark

I felt like the monster/human dynamic was gonna get real, dark and crazy, and felt like them exploring that a little harder would have been nice.

Holland's Spider-Man journey really hit that young happy innocent kid Spidey well- launching him down that dark path without holding as much back would have been interesting imo. They found a balance and went a safer/mild route, but idk. When I saw those black eyes and scorpion's ass whoopin I got excited lol

That's what I feel TASM did well. A bit darker, breathed more with the Parker journey (even though the kids felt it was less action) and Garfield nailed those emotional scenes. S3 was, well, you know. I feel like we've been edging with dark spidey

Anyways, I did like BND. Not sure how it's generally being received but I can see why it has a ton of deleted scenes and redirection during post

How did Happy know May at the end of NWH?

Confused about how Happy still knew May. He says "same", meaning through Spider-Man, only because of May's involvement was as Peter Parkers aunt. So does he now know that he knew Spider-Man's real identity was May's nephew, but because of the spell he just forgot and we just assume that he is probably wondering why he can't remember?

Does this spell somehow remove Peter from existence entirely, or only from people's memories? If the latter, did he technically still exist in all of the school records etc?

Obviously this is a rabbit hole unless I'm just totally missing a part of the storyline lol

Think we'll get more Andrew and Toby? Just watched NWH, had the feels since growing up watching the previous movies/actors

I'm not deep into the universe, yet. Watched the current series with Holland and it rejuvenated my interest. About to see BND as well, then I guess I'll go through all of the MCU stuff since I have time now. Anyways, is there any hope for more Andrew and Toby reprising roles? I did appreciate the little sparkles of story and arc they were able to include, and even refreshing/furthering their stories a bit. Don't want to drop spoilers about the NWH ending but left wanting more I guess lol

Do we certify every Sunday? Or every other Sunday for 2 weeks at a time? I was certifying weekly, now says unavailable. Can't tell if it's broken website or all is well

Says I don't have weeks available to certify, but claim status shows I have weeks available. Then the dashboard has old data glued to it from multiple claims ago. Is the website broken or will I be certifying biweekly in batches of 2 weeks going forward?

Do I need to buy this upgrade in order to play Restored Lands? I got the game free for owning DL2

Cillian's endgame radio dialogue made zero sense, since he was wiped from the intro. Was I suppose to interact with him during the game or something?

I just played through again and sided with Juan/Colonel. Didn't do many side quests other than the ones that tied into story, Aitor etc. Since Cillian is no longer in the beginning due to Tencentland's questionable decisions, I had zero interaction with him.

During the final endgame quest, Cillian radios me saying the Nightrunners stand with me, and Aiden acts as if he has known Cillian all along. Did they wipe his intro part and forget to wipe this radio dialogue at the final mission? Or was Cillian supposed to be in side quests relevant to the main story that I skipped?

Any reason to do all the side quests on the first playthrough, if one intends on doing ng+?

I am playing through DL2 again and this time wanted to beat everything. I'd like to play through NG+ and do all of the misc. content as well. Should I skip most side quests in the original playthrough if I plan to reset my game for ng+ anyways?

Is there any mediation or 3rd party return policy on behalf of Amazon when ordering from a 3rd party seller?

There is a particular item that I really need, but the only available listing is through a 3rd party Amazon seller.

There is also an eBay listing, different name, but same town/state as the Amazon seller, so assuming it's the same company.

Amazon seller's rating is a 64% so I understand that it will be a gamble if I proceed, so wondering if Amazon will have my back at all in the event I get screwed.

The seller policies are a little extreme, and seem to give themselves all the slack while already sorta projecting any liability on the customer, so I'm wondering if Amazon has a policy for 3rd party listings that overrides the seller's, in the event the buyer gets the shaft from a sketchy purchase.

The sellers policy says buyer pays return shipping, and if they choose to blame the customer for a used/damaged item (basically I am worried about getting a previously opened/used/returned item) then they reserve the right to charge a restocking fee of up to 50-80% of the item. Seems outrageous, so wondering if I should even be taking the seller's policies seriously. The listing's return policy link takes me to Amazon's general return policy page and not the seller's.

I vaguely remember Amazon mediating a return a while back, so wondering if this is something they currently do. I picture worst case scenario is that I receive a damaged/previously returned/used item, they make me ship the item back at my expense via whatever price ups/FedEx gouges me with as someone who doesn't have negotiated rates, then they get the item back and automatically put it all on me and charge an 80% restocking fee lol. So basically a $140 item, between the return shipping and restocking fee, it would be a total loss. I want to think Amazon wouldn't let a customer get that screwed and would at least regulate third party policies but not so sure anymore. Anyone have insight on this?
