The gender reach gap on this sub is real and nobody talks about it
Let's be honest
an average male post with genuine effort gets buried with little to no responses, while a female profile (real or fake, it doesn't matter) gets flooded with replies and DMs within minutes. The disparity is obvious and consistent. It's not about post quality or effort. It's purely about perceived gender. Male users are just shouting into the void here while putting in the same or more effort.
Has anyone else noticed this or is it just me?

ekathimerini.com50GB download stops mid-way due to low C drive storage — will changing IDM's temp folder to another SSD drive fix this?
Every time I try to download a 50GB file using IDM, the download stops because my C drive runs out of storage. I have another drive on my SSD with plenty of space.
Can I change IDM's temporary file location to that drive? Will it actually work? Any suggestions would be appreciated!

Balogoun Gets Red Card vs Bosnia While Messi Did the Exact Same Foul and Walked Free Is FIFA Favoring Argentina?
Today, Balogoun received a straight red card for a foul that, by most accounts, was no worse than what Messi did in the same match yet Messi wasn't even booked.
Watch both incidents back-to-back and tell me there's a consistent standard being applied. The referee saw one and reached for red, then completely ignored the other.
This isn't the first time Argentina has seemingly benefited from questionable officiating in major tournaments. At what point do we start asking serious questions about FIFA's refereeing decisions when Argentina is involved?
did Balogoun deserve that red card? And if yes, why did Messi get away with the same challenge scot-free? Is FIFA protecting Argentina, or is this just another case of inconsistent refereeing at the highest level?

Should I run 1080p on a 2K monitor to eliminate GPU bottleneck? (Ryzen 7 7700 + Arc B580)
Hey everyone,
I'm running an AMD Ryzen 7 7700 paired with an Intel Arc B580 12GB on a 2K (1440p) monitor. According to a bottleneck calculator, my setup has a 15.3% GPU bottleneck at 1440p, but zero bottleneck at 1080p.
My question is: should I drop the resolution to 1080p to get better FPS and eliminate the bottleneck, even though my monitor is a 2K display?
I know running 1080p on a 1440p monitor isn't native, so the image won't look as sharp. But the performance gains might be worth it depending on what games I play.
Here's my current bottleneck data:
- 1080p → 0% bottleneck, 96% of games run at 60+ FPS
- 1440p → 15.3% GPU bottleneck, 78% of games run at 60+ FPS
- 4K → 38.8% GPU bottleneck (not relevant for me)
Would you stick with native 1440p and accept the bottleneck, or drop to 1080p for smoother performance? Also open to hearing if a GPU upgrade makes more sense here.
Thanks!
What's the actual connection between my network speed and Steam download speed?
My ISP gives me a certain speed, but Steam always shows something different. Are these even the same measurement? What's actually going on here?
Also ,what are the best tricks to squeeze out more speed when downloading big games on Steam? Changing download region? Limiting background apps? What actually makes a real difference?

New to HWiNFO – How to create a custom sensor list with only the items I need?
Hey everyone, just started using HWiNFO and the sensor list is overwhelming. I want to quickly monitor a few key things like:
- GPU temperature
- CPU temperature
- RAM usage
- Download/Upload speed
- Any other essential system stats
Is there a way to create a custom/personal list showing only the sensors I actually care about and hide everything else? I don't need all the voltage readings, memory timings, and hundreds of other entries cluttering the view.
Any tips or guides would be appreciated!
Does Neat Download Manager perform the same as IDM for large files over 10GB?
Been using Neat Download Manager for a while now and overall it works well, but I've noticed something specific when downloading large files over 10GB — the download speed occasionally drops from around 55 MB/s down to 45 MB/s without any clear reason.
My questions:
- Does NDM handle large files (10GB+) the same way IDM does, or are there differences in how it manages multi-threaded connections for big downloads?
- Is that speed drop from 55 to 45 MB/s server-side throttling, or is it something on NDM's end — like how it manages connection threads mid-download?
My internet connection stays stable throughout, so I don't think it's on my end. Anyone who's used both IDM and NDM for big downloads would know exactly what I'm talking about. Would appreciate any insight.
Best IDM Alternatives with Browser Extensions and High-Speed Downloads?
I've been using Internet Download Manager (IDM) for years the browser integration and multi-threaded high-speed downloading are hard to beat. Looking for something that works exactly the same way: seamless browser extension support (Chrome/Firefox) and fast segmented downloading.
Has anyone actually used these long-term? Do they match IDM's speed and browser extension reliability?
Would love recommendations from people who've made the switch. Free or paid — both are fine.
