Take out marketing. That leaves labor, licensing, software costs, guess (like offices). What else?

I would think labor costs should be fixed since studios know salaries in advance and they don't change during the year.

Software and hardware like Desktops and Unreal Engine should be a predictable cost per seat.

Time is a valid factor, but that doesn't account for what these studios are spending.

Where do these huge budgets go? L

Edit: So it looks like it's actually just the salaries and overly large teams plus long development times. So it's poor management, not the teams themselves. If you properly managed more people than you need, games would get done faster.

I'm trying to plan out a few trips both solo or with a partner, and in larger 5-7 people.

For example we did a NYC trip with 6 people and I felt it was more fun than if I had gone solo. Going to shows, exploring the city, ice skating. Same with Jamaica and Mexico. Much more fun in a big group doing activities.

My trip to Canadain glad I did solo and at my own pace. Hawaii we did with 5 people and I wish I did it with just 1 or two. Everyone was on a different pace and it was difficult to keep everyone together.

Right now i'm using Stripe but they charge 2.6%+. Are there better alternatives? I'm located in the US and don't need to take international transactions.
