Basically a place where people can go and have someone show them the ins and outs of the Fathom as well as other future UEV Models then test drive them if wanted. If the customer wants to purchase it the person could then help them order one online. You would still likely need to take delivery at a dealership and pay the fee they charge to register it or whatever the normal process is if you order a Ford Vehicle online. But you would avoid a lot dealership markups.

The advantage is you get the exact configuration of the Fathom you want through a process that overall you could do yourself but this would be much more interactive. These showrooms would only be educating people on UEV models instead of pushing them on to whatever is easier to sell by someone working on commission. Also, you can have them located in key geographic areas. The disadvantage is this could cause friction with dealerships, though it could help if you offer to show what models dealers have nearby for people who don’t want to wait. The other disadvantage is even if this was an option for the Ford Fathom, it would not be an option in every state since some states don’t allow showrooms.

Note: If a model has 2 subreddits but one is below 1K weekly visitors I'm not going to list it since the fans of that model have already decided which subreddit will be the main subreddit for it and I want to keep this long list more condense. Wanting to keep the list condense is also why I'm focusing on the US Market instead of the global market. Finally this list is only for EV specific models if a model shares a subreddit with an ICE/Hybrid variation I'm not listing it again for the sake of keeping the list shorter.

In a recent interview with Automotive News, Ford CEO Jim Farley admitted that the automaker is still working through some kinks as it pertains to UEV production, which could impact the launch of the Ford Fathom. “We haven’t landed the plane on mass production of UEV yet,” Farley said. “It’s going to be a heck of an effort to launch this at scale, at cost, on time.”
