Is there someone that made his game or app open-source?

I want to make my app open-source but I want to know what would be the best to manage the app testing as it needs to be done in the reddit environment, so or I share the main dev subreddit with its custom post, or a dev sub needs to be done for each contributor.

I made a Reddit app for sub like this one, to see more easily who is nearby (No GPS used), would you be interested?

Hi everyone,

As the title says, I made a reddit app for subreddit like this one, this is like an extension of the subreddit, it allows its members to see who is nearby them, the main features are:

- to see who is nearby

- it links automatically the R4R post of members to the app, it displays it on their user card.

Would you be interested in an app like this?

Take a look on r/mazwiz.

It doesn't use GPS, you self-report your location.

This is an app that needs to be installed on the subreddit, so before asking the mods if they are interested in installing it, I am asking the community to see first what do you think about it.

Native Group Chat creation & join links in Devvit?

Hi everyone,

I'm building an app where I want to connect users into native Reddit group chats, but I've hit a wall.

Right now:

* Devvit has no API method to create a group chat or invite users to one.

* Native Reddit group chats don't have shareable join links, the only way to add someone is to manually search their username.

A couple of quick questions for the Devvit team and other devs:

* Why is this currently unsupported? Is it an anti-spam restriction, or is the chat backend completely separated from Devvit's API?

* Is there any roadmap for this? Even a simple URL join scheme (for navigateTo()) or a client modal to start a chat with prefilled usernames would make a huge difference.

Building custom in-post chat with Realtime and Redis works, but it can't replace the persistent notifications and UX of native Reddit chats.

Would love to hear if this feature is planned for future Devvit releases!

The only workaround i found is to use Discord, the invite link can be generated using the API, but it forces users to have a Discord account.

Would you be interested to participate in an open-source project to create the most accurate MBTI test?

I created the test r/DTI_TypeFinder more than one month ago, this is a reddit app, it appears to be very accurate, it uses LLMs to interview the user and then find their type, this way this is close to what an expert could do. Even it seems more accurate than the current online tests, there is still work to do on it, so I was wondering if it would be a good idea to make the project open-source, to see if it would inspire some people to improve it, I don't care if the code is used to make your own thing, that's what open-source is about, what I care about is to have a tool to finally find the type of someone accurately, without this person to have to learn the cognitive functions theory during 6 month to be sure about their type.

144000 cycles which would represent the frequency of a human that reach balance, is it a thing in the DMT world?

According to Bashar, the number 144,000 is often misunderstood in human lore as a specific group of people, but it actually represents a spiritual energetic frequency of 144,000 cycles per second. He describes this exact frequency as a central "balance point" or neutral vibration. While the average person operates around 40,000 to 50,000 cycles per second, a low-energy state he compares to "sleepwalking", reaching the 144,000 threshold allows an individual to wake up, perceive a wider range of probabilities in their reality, and more easily transition into a positive state of being by acting on their passions.

So I was wondering, if this frequency is explained in the DMT world.

(I never broke through, but I plan to.)

Couchsurfing on Reddit, would it be cool?

I am the developer of the reddit app, r/mazwiz, it designed to:

- make friends

- date

- join and organize hangouts

(No GPS tracking)

launched 2 months ago, the main focus is for people to make friends, but I was thinking to include couchsurfing and to make it traveler friendly, what do you think? Would it be cool to couchsurf on Reddit? I know you dont have the details of the feature, but it would be close to the ones on regular couchsurfing apps.

I would like your honest opinion about this reddit app, this is to find each other and make friend.

This is a tool to know who is nearby using MBTI tags, it doesn't use GPS tracking, the user enter his location.

This tool is getting traction on social and R4R subs but not much on MBTI subs, I am wondering if specific subs like this one can be interested, using this, INTP women have a way to find each other in the wild, it can be cool for you.

App Review Process: Request to automatically review only the latest published version

Hi,

I’ve run into a recurring issue with the app review process and wanted to suggest an improvement for both developers and the review team.

Currently, if I publish multiple updates before a review happens, the team sometimes reviews the older version instead of the most recent one.

Here is the timeline of how it usually happens:

- Day 1: I publish an update to the queue (npx devvit publish).

- Day 3: I realize I made a mistake, fix the bug, and run npx devvit publish again.

- Day 5: The Devvit team reviews the app, but they review the version from Day 1 instead of the corrected version from Day 3.

When this happens, it results in the reviewer wasting their time testing an obsolete version of the app, and it delays the release cycle because I have to wait for the newer version to go through the queue again.

For context, this has happened three times already with my app, u/hangout-map. This exact situation just occurred again, and my latest published version is still pending.

Synced this sub to a hangout map app! Thoughts?

Hey everyone! 👋

As people here are often looking to meet up, make friends, or find things to do around the city. To make connecting a bit easier, I’ve synced it to the MazWiz map app.

Now, whenever someone posts a meetup here, it automatically get displayed into the app.

You can open the app and try it out here:

(Note: there is no GPS tracking)

I'd love to hear what you guys think! Let me know if you have any feedback or ideas to make it better for the Pune community.

If the 16 types theory is true, it means there is an universal truth and meaning to life

What do you think about this conclusion? I want a debate about that :D

I took a lot of time to validate this theory for myself, to be very careful with confirmation biases, and the conclusion is that the John Beebe theory is 100% valid, maybe there is slight change that can be done, but this is just about details and personal opinions, not affecting the general idea.

So once I reached this point, I was really in awe of what it means, it means there is an universal truth, the same way you study any biological ecosystems, everything has a role and purpose in this ecosystem, so are we and this theory prove it.

It means that the saying "life has no meaning beside the one you give to it" has no ground anymore.

Most learning support about this theory doesn't talk about the 16 types as an ecosystem, it focuses type by type, but when you step back and try to get the big picture of it all, you realize that the 16 types are here to create a society/civilization with each type their role in it.

I wonder what do you think about that.

Note: If you haven't tried this exercise, ask people whose MBTI type you know, to define the meaning of life in simple terms. You will realize that their definition, which you might expect to be uniquely personal, is actually intimately linked to their type (though this realization requires a deep understanding of John Beebe's theory).

The equation of the observer: The 8 cognitive vectors as the missing half of the Grail

We spend a lot of time here discussing the external nature of reality, how the universe is driven by ontological math, how physical matter is secondary to mind, and how absolute truth (the Grail) can be found through logic and structural perfection.

But if reality is a perfect mathematical system, the mind observing it cannot be a random biological accident. It must also be a structural, mathematical system.

Over the last while, I have been deeply investigating a specific framework of consciousness: John Beebe’s 8-function model.

I took the time to rigorously validate it, observing the patterns in myself and others while being incredibly careful to challenge my own confirmation biases. I have reached the conclusion that this model is undeniably true.

More importantly, I believe this psychological framework functions as an "internal equation". If the Grail is the ultimate source code of existence, this is the source code of the observer.

For those unfamiliar with the theory, here is how the mechanics work without any of the standard psychological fluff:

## The 8 Vectors of Consciousness

Human consciousness operates using exactly 8 specific cognitive processors, often called "functions." You can think of them as the 8 fundamental energetic frequencies or vectors a mind uses to perceive reality and make decisions:

* **Ti (Introverted Thinking):** Seeks perfect internal logical architecture; analyzes how things work to find universal true/false principles.

* **Te (Extroverted Thinking):** Seeks external order and efficiency; organizes the environment to execute systems and achieve concrete results.

* **Fi (Introverted Feeling):** Evaluates internal moral resonance; processes the subjective depth of values and authenticity.

* **Fe (Extroverted Feeling):** Evaluates external emotional dynamics; harmonizes and navigates the collective values of the group.

* **Ni (Introverted Intuition):** Convergent perception; distills complex information down into a single, ultimate path or underlying meaning.

* **Ne (Extroverted Intuition):** Divergent perception; expands reality outward, seeing infinite interconnected possibilities and patterns.

* **Si (Introverted Sensing):** Internalized concrete data; archives past physical experiences to create a stable, reliable precedent for the future.

* **Se (Extroverted Sensing):** Immediate kinetic data; interacts directly with the real-time, objective physical present.

## The Mathematical Symmetry

What makes this an "equation" rather than just a list of traits is the strict law of polarity. The mind is a closed system that operates on balanced axes.

Every single human mind uses all 8 of these functions, but they are arranged in a strict geometric hierarchy. If your mind leads with **Ni** (distilling ultimate meaning), the system dictates that it *must* be grounded by **Se** (engaging with the immediate physical present) at the bottom of your primary stack. If you lead with **Ti** (internal logic), it must be tethered by an exact opposing force of **Fe** (external harmony).

Every cognitive push has an equal and opposite pull.

## The Archetypal Variables

In John Beebe's model, these 8 functions plug into 8 universal "archetypes" in our minds (such as the Hero, the Parent, the Child, the Inferior, the Trickster, and the Demon). These archetypes act as the variables in the equation.

Depending on which function sits in which archetypal slot, the "output" is generated. This creates the 16 exact, predictable architectures of human consciousness. It explains with mechanical precision why we get defensive, how we solve problems, and where our blind spots are.

## Why this is part of the Grail

Reaching the conclusion that this internal architecture is real implies something massive:

* **Consciousness has a geometry.** It is structural, symmetrical, and governed by strict laws of polarity and conservation of energy.

* **As within, so without.** The same mathematical balance that governs the monad/universe governs human cognition.

* **The complete equation.** You can hold the mathematical formula for the universe, but if you do not understand the exact mechanical lens through which your own mind processes it, you are blind to the observer effect.

I firmly believe these 8 patterns are the internal equation of the soul. Has anyone else here looked into the mathematical symmetry of human cognition as a piece of the ultimate truth?

[28M] Seeking advice: Would you guys be interested in using a local interactive map to find cuddle buddies safely?

Hi everyone! I recently spoke with the mods here about an interactive Reddit app I've been working on called the MazWiz Hangout Map, and they suggested I make a post to ask the community if this is something you'd actually like to see added to r/cuddlebuddies.

What is it?
It's an interactive map that lives directly inside Reddit. It's designed to help Redditors visually find and connect with like-minded people locally, rather than having to scroll through endless text posts hoping to spot your city.

Privacy First (No Tracking!):
I want to emphasize that the map does NOT track your live location. You are entirely in control. To appear on the map, you manually enter your Country, State, and City. If you live in a highly populated area and want to be a little more specific without giving away your address, you can use a coarse "Geohash" zone (broad 1km area). It is 100% voluntary, completely privacy-focused, and never uses your phone's GPS.

How it would work for this community:

- You can pin your Reddit profile to your local city.
- Your pin displays your native Reddit avatar and your Reddit bio.
- You can link your r/cuddlebuddies "intro post" directly to your map pin, so people nearby can click on you and immediately read what you're looking for.
- You can securely send DMs to nearby users right from the map interface.

Finding local connections can be tough, and I built this to make it easier and safer for communities exactly like this one.

What do you guys think? Is this something you'd use if the mods officially brought it to r/cuddlebuddies? I'd love to hear your feedback, questions, or concerns!

I built a free interactive Hangout Map to act as an extension for this sub and help us easily find camping buddies and meetups around Australia

Hey everyone,

I've noticed it can sometimes be tough to organize actual offline meetups, find camping buddies, or connect with fellow road trippers just by scrolling through text posts. To try and make meeting up in person a bit easier, whether you're looking for someone to hike with or a group to share a camp spot, I wanted to share a free project I’ve been working on.
I built a live, interactive map designed to behave like a visual extension of subreddits just like this one. Instead of posting into the void, you can visually see who is nearby and looking to connect for outdoor trips.

The best part is how it ties back into the community: you can actually add the meetup or "looking for group" post you made in this subreddit directly to your user card on the map. This way, when someone clicks your pin, they can immediately read your post and see exactly what kind of hike, camping trip, or caravan convoy you are planning.

* Visual Discovery: You can easily spot local campers, hiking buddies, or casual hangouts on the map in your area.
* Subreddit Integration: Link your text post directly to your map profile so other users know your vibe and exactly what you want to do before they reach out.
* Privacy First: There is absolutely zero GPS tracking. You just manually drop a pin in your general area/suburb.

If you're looking to plan a trip this week, find an adventure buddy, or just want to see who's spending time outdoors around Australia, feel free to drop by and put a pin on the map. Let's get some more offline connections going!
