homemade Lemongrass Curry Soup, with Rice Noodles and Tofu

delicious, easy, and quick.

I just fried off some spring onion and lemongrass in oil, added some red curry paste, coconut milk and some veg. stock, added in my tofu, mini bell peppers and broccolini, and seasoned with veg. "fish" sauce and soy sauce, sugar and a little bit of lime juice.

Threw in my soaked rice noodles at the end for a minute to soak up all that delicious flavor.

So good ~

Pregnant??

Faint positive?? I tested about two weeks ago and the test was even fainter than this one. I’ll attach the first test in the comments. I was on the depo and switched over to the pill. Have not been feeling like myself the past couple of weeks and the test have been kinda wish washy.

Does dollarama sell dupe of brand name skin care?

Just wondering if these are their versions of the neutrogena cleanser and cerave cleanser.

Pretty cool if it is.

I present to you my mum's famous nacho dip everyone flights over

- 1 block of cream cheese (250 ml room temperature NOT THE ONE FOR SPREADING, THE BLOCK)

- 1/2 C sour cream (I use 14%)

- 1/2 C half fat mayo

- 1 large medium heat salsa (650 ml or 2ish 250 ml jars)

- 2 C shredded cheddar cheese (approximately)

- 6-7 finely chopped green onion

In a bowl mix together the cream cheese, sour cream and mayo with a hand mixer or stand mixer (if you don't have those, just use the defrost option on your microwave for the block of cream cheese to soften it, around 1 minute, and then hand whisk together) in a bowl

Place mixture in a large pie plate or Pyrex dish for the layer on the bottom, evenly

Add the salsa on top, then shredded cheese, then finely chopped green onion to finish

Wrap with tin foil and set in fridge for an hour or 2

Dive in with some tortilla chips and enjoy!

- YES you can add additional layers like guac or beans, but that's up to you! It will still taste delicious.

- ALSO for anyone wanting to come at me for the mayo, I use half fat and it adds the creamy texture and additional tang to the base. Don't knock it until you try it!

***** For anyone adding guac or additional layers, use something deeper than a pie dish

Openable straw

Thanks to OP who posted this the other day! 🧃

I have been trying to find this for a few days and was so happy to finally find one. It’s only $2.50. It’s a little soft, so if you use it to mix drinks, it might bend a bit, but overall it’s so, so good. It’s hygienic and reusable, so it saves money if you use a straw every day. Hopefully it doesn’t retain any smells. I’ll be back in a few days with an update!

Something feels off about my bedroom and I can’t figure out why

Looking for some opinions and recommendations on my room because something about it just feels a little off to me, but I can’t really figure out what it is. The wall opposite the projector has to stay completely blank since the projector shines directly onto that wall, and the two beds are fixed to the wall so they can’t be moved. I also need to keep the couch, dresser, both beds, and at least one large desk (although I’m open to replacing the desk itself). The shelf behind the couch also has to stay because that’s where the projector sits. Pretty much everything else can be changed.

The first two pictures are daytime with no lights on, pictures 3 and 4 are daytime with the lights on, and pictures 5-8 are nighttime with the lights on. I’m not sure whether the room feels weird because of the lighting, colors, lack of texture, too much clutter, or just too many things going on visually. Maybe some things don’t match, maybe the room needs more texture, or maybe I’m just overthinking it. I’d really appreciate some honest feedback and suggestions. If this were your room, what would you change?

Have you ever had a whole theatre to yourself? What was the movie?

I saw Mad Max Furiosa at the end of its theatrical run back in 2024. It was an early morning showing (I think 10am), and I was the only one there.

It was weird having the whole theatre to myself. I should have taken advantage of the opportunity and sat in different seats to see what it was like.

How accurate is this?

My wife tested and it came out to be positive.

Kinda nervous and wanted to know if this is super accurate?

Thoughts on this blue kitchen pantry in this space?

EDIT: thanks for all the responses!! I wasn’t expecting so many.

I ended up placing an order for the pantry, so we’ll see how it looks in real life! The rest of the furniture and art in these photos were just from the realtor staging so I’ve got a blank canvas to work with to add other blue items in so it doesn’t feel so random. And I’m going to centre it more so it’s not sitting right against the wall closest to the kitchen like so many of you suggested!
——————————

The cabinets and open shelving in the kitchen are painted a light blue, so I was hoping to tie in the blue more. I keep getting drawn to this specific cabinet for some reason. I definitely like a more maximalist/colourful style when it comes to home decor so I know this wouldn’t be everyone’s taste but I want to make sure I’m not thinking crazyyyy before purchasing lol. The rest of the furniture here is just staging btw.
