Compilation of all the fireworks
850,000 fireworks shells lit up the National Mall! It just broke the world record for the biggest fireworks show in history. For comparison, last year’s D.C. Fourth of July show only used around 20,000 shells. I had people in the comments telling me, “Oh, it was the same thing as last year.” No, it wasn’t. Fireworks are cool. They did a good job, end of story. If you want to complain and and whine, you can go to the main D.C. sub or you can go to Bluesky. If you don’t like what I post, you don’t have to engage in itAnd here’s a compilation of all the best videos from the fireworks, and at the end, there’s a full time-lapse of everything.

(0:34) This was taken today at a rehearsal for the July 4th performance at the Salute Stage on the Mall. Those dancers are incredibly lucky to not have mortal injuries. EDIT: This is not actually at the Great American State Fair, but at a rehearsal for a separate event also on the Mall (Salute to America 250, which will be on July 4th).
Trump about Medal of Honor "As I see my two beautiful sons sitting there, I think, 'I'm going to give one to myself and one to them.' We'll have a threesome. I'll pick out one of the two," he said while delivering remarks at the opening of the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library in North Dakota.
President Theodore Roosevelt and his eldest son, Gen. Theodore Roosevelt Jr., were the first father-son pair to receive the award, followed by Arthur MacArthur and his son, Gen. Douglas MacArthur.
"I'll give them the Congressional Medal of Honor for something, for their genius at hunting," Trump continued. "I'll get one for taking on Russia, Russia, Russia, or something. We'll have a third pair. No, I'm only kidding. But I have seriously thought about it. Now, this is dangerous to say because the fake news is up there all over the place. And when I joke, I always. I learned earlier, don't be sarcastic in politics."
